About Me

Hi, my name is Joel Ganucheau and I'm an art school dropout. I was born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1977 and grew up in Houston. I have lived in Austin, Texas since 1999. My son, Jonah, was born in 1995 and my daughter, Chloe, was born in 2010. They are the coolest humans. My girlfriend, Eli Halpin , is also the coolest human. I co-founded Austin Art Garage in 2007. My paintings are inspired by recent events in my life, love, loss, and the little things. I am always experimenting with new techniques and processes to keep things exciting. Making art is very therapeutic and necessary for me. I'm not sure where I would be without it. ⚡️🖤💀
